Our Mission
At the Groundwork Program, we are committed to empowering families with comprehensive support and education, centred around the well-being and development of every child. Our mission is to nurture strong family bonds and provide tailored support that enables families to thrive together.

Through our unique in-home education and support services, we aim to equip parents with the tools they need to navigate the challenges of parenthood and foster a nurturing environment. From childbirth education to postnatal care, breastfeeding support to meal planning, our dedicated team of Doulas offer personalised guidance every step of the way.

At the heart of our mission is a dedication to improving parental understanding and promoting positive family dynamics. Through the transfer of knowledge and hands-on instruction, we strive to empower families to overcome challenges and build a brighter future together.
Our History
The GWP was born out of a decade of fee free services offered via the Doula Heart Network. At the start of 2016 a Family and Community Services Manger saw the value in Doula support and wanted us to support a family ongoingly as a support provider, on a long term job and to be paid. The rest is history.

We predominately offer, however are not limited to support and education during pregnancy, birth and the postpartum period.

When working for the Groundwork Program our Doulas are operating their own business and come on board as a contractor for The Groundwork Program.

The GWP is a fee for service provider who works with but not limited to, child protection agencies and those who are self or planned managed NDIS participants.
